The “barn” door opening has been cut and will have a double sliding door to finish it (eventually.)
Start of landscaping by the same crew that did the initial site work. They had available a lot of granite blocks from an old foundation most with at least one or two good faces. Everything shown below was accomplished in just two full days of work!
Lots of loam needed to be delivered and spread for the lawn.
Blocks ready and being placed to make a retaining wall/gardening space near the driveway.
Many decisions on rock placement…
Some thin more finished blocks were delivered separately and reserved for a step in front of the barn door, and a short retaining wall near the workshop.
Many more decisions on rock placements…
Adding loam to the gardening spaces along the walls.
Placing one of the more finished blocks for retaining the drive along the workshop.
Work on the garden back of the workshop.
Creating a better drainage area along the driveway. This area seems to pick up a fair amount of water that apparently collects and flows along ledge to exit here.
Rolling the loam for seeding the lawn.
The completed retaining wall next to the workshop.
Finished retaining walls and drainage area.
Some leftover pieces of granite were placed more roughly to retain the area in front of the workshop.
Beginning siding for the garage.
The second more finished piece placed as a step in front of the “barn” door.
